LM Learning Goals

At LM, your child will have multitudes of opportunities to learn and practice all the skills they will need to become strong, confident people, people who know who they are and what they want out of life. Some of the skills we practice daily include:

  • Gross motor movements (body boundaries, sitting up, walking, scooting, etc.)
  • Fine motor movements (grabbing, using utensils, dressing, etc.)
  • Language development
  • Sharing and negotiation
  • Separation and individuation
  • Healthy ways of connection and building relationships
  • Social skills. What it means to possess: respect, sensitivity, trust, leadership, love, patience, compassion, and so on
  • Self-discipline
  • Hygiene
  • Healthy ways to manage internal and external stress

And so much more!

“Our society is a very pushy society. They always say, ‘More, more. Faster, faster. Do it, do it.’ And we say the opposite. Relax. Let things happen. They do happen at the right time. Observe. Enjoy. Enjoy what is. Don’t worry about what isn’t” ~ Magda Gerber, The RIE Manual
